- The Yale Safe is an electronic safe with a keypad for opening using a passcode, as well as a small display for displaying information. A large yellow button labeled "Yale" is typically used to confirm or unlock the safe after entering the passcode.
- The safe has a warning written on it:
- "Please do not store emergency keys inside" (as they are needed in case you forget the code or the battery runs out).
- 🔐 Open the safe:
- Enter your PIN (usually 3 to 8 digits).
- Press the Enter button or the yellow Yale button (depending on the model).
- If the number is correct, the safe will open.
- 🔄 Change the password:
- Open the safe with the current code.
- Look for a small button inside the door (usually red or black).
- Click on it and then enter the new code.
- Press Enter to confirm.
- 🗝 If you forget your password:
- It can be opened using the Override Key , which is usually hidden behind a small logo or plastic cover next to the number pad.
- Caution: The label on the safe reminds you not to store this key inside.
